Recovery Bar: cashew berry cacao
The proteins in the Recovery Bar mainly come from Whey protein. This complete protein is naturally rich in all essential amino acids, especially the BCAAs Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine. This makes whey superior for muscle recovery after exercise.
Moreover, whey provides a creamy taste and texture, unlike all other protein powders.

The highest quality collagen from grass-fed cattle from the Swiss Alps!
In total, about 30% of your body protein is made of collagen peptides. You find it in your muscles and connective tissues such as skin, bones, joints, tendons and ligaments. In addition, your organs, intestinal wall and blood vessels also contain collagen.
Collagen is therefore an important part of almost your entire body - an essential ingredient for a Recovery bar!

Magnesium is involved in over 300 processes in our body. From muscle function and protein synthesis to your energy metabolism and electrolyte balance.
During busy workdays and intensive sports sessions, your body uses extra magnesium, especially if you've sweated a lot or been stressed. That's why we've added 475 mg of seawater extract, providing 75 mg of elemental magnesium and the most important electrolytes: sodium, potassium, calcium, and chloride.
Vitamin C boosts your immune system, an important element after a workout or a tough (work)day. Additionally, vitamin C is necessary for the absorption of Collagen in your body - thus ensuring a perfect synergy in this bar.
Our Vitamin C comes from an extract of the Acerola berry. This provides you with vitamin C in its natural form, combined with bioflavonoids that promote absorption.
Dates are the most complete sweetener: rich in fiber and the minerals potassium, calcium, magnesium, and iron. They even contain some protein and healthy fats.
Moreover, the caramel-like taste and soft fleshy texture of our organic dates are perfect for making raw bars.
Our organic cashews contain 22% protein, healthy fats, fiber, magnesium, and B vitamins for muscle recovery and stable energy levels.
The cashew nuts provide a delicious crunch and the cashew butter creates that creamy texture without added sugar.
Goji berries are one of the few fruits that are rich in protein and vitamin C, fibre, and antioxidants. In the bar, they add a delicious fruity flavour.
Cocoa is packed with antioxidants and is the plant-based product with the highest concentration of magnesium. Additionally, cocoa contains many healthy fats and is rich in proteins. Finally, cocoa contains a lot of theobromine, which creates that feel-good effect of cocoa.
This bitter crunch from cocoa nibs provides a delicious taste contrast in the bar.
Vanilla contains natural aromatic substances such as vanillin, which contribute to relaxation and a feeling of comfort.
The delicate, warm vanilla flavour rounds off the flavours of nuts, cocoa and fruit, and makes the bar softer and fuller in the mouth. Thanks to the intense, natural aroma, you taste more sweetness without the addition of extra sugar.
The soluble tapioca fibres naturally bind the protein and collagen powders together. They create the soft, toffee-like texture – an indispensable ingredient in a high-protein bar.
In addition, they add natural fibres to the bar, thus contributing to a long-lasting feeling of satiety.

You can eat the Recovery bar every day, in principle. However, we recommend not eating more than 2 Recovery Bars per day.
With the dose of added whey, collagen, magnesium, and vitamin C, you are unlikely to experience a health risk, but (too) high intake can have a negative effect on your digestive system.
Furthermore, the bar is intended as a functional snack after a strenuous workout, a busy (work) day, or as a tasty, nutritious snack. With more than 2 Recovery bars per day, you'll naturally overshoot that goal a little bit :)
Store the bars in a cool, dry and dark place (e.g. in a cool cupboard or drawer).
The product has a best-before date (BBD), 9 months after the production date. This is for our quality control. After this date, use your nose and eyes to determine if the bar is still edible.

Functionality restoration
Whey protein is the basis of our Recovery Bar. This is a complete protein with a high content of essential amino acids – especially leucine – which research shows to be the most effective source for muscle recovery after exercise.
Because whey is rapidly digested, it causes a peak in amino acids in your blood. This provides your muscles with immediate building blocks for recovery and prepares them for the next workout. Compared to proteins such as casein or soy, we clearly see that whey stimulates more muscle building in the first few hours after exercise – precisely when you want to get the most out of your recovery.
Grass-fed
Collagen peptides
Our collagen peptides are not "random extra proteins". Research shows that they specifically target connective tissues such as tendons, joints, skin, hair, fascia, and even the intestinal wall. With an active lifestyle involving sports or hard work, these tissues endure a lot.
The body absorbs 57% of the collagen as free amino acids (glycine, proline, hydroxyproline). These are building blocks for, for example, muscles, connective tissue, and the intestinal wall. 43% is absorbed as "dipeptides" and "tripeptides". These act as signaling molecules so that the amino acids reach the right place.
For example, they signal cells in the skin, hair, and connective tissues to: produce more collagen and break down less. In other words, they support joints, tendons, and bones during strength training, running, and yoga; and the skin, hair, and nails during daily stressors such as work, lack of sleep, or prolonged sitting.
RECOVERY COMPLETE
By combining collagen peptides with whey protein (for muscle recovery), vitamin C (for immunity and collagen formation), and magnesium (for hydration and muscle function), a bar is created that goes beyond a standard protein bar. The Recovery bar is an all-around recovery tool for those who give their all both in the gym and at work.
